One died in cylinder blast in Cuncolim IDC

One worker died after a cylinder burst at an oxygen factory at the Cuncolim Industrial Estate. The deceased was not given medical treatment immediately the deceased family members have alleged.

Two workers were injured and 25-year-old  Sudhirkumar Prasad from Bihar succumbed to his injuries. His cousin alleged that medical treatment was given after almost an hour and only after he intervened. It was only then that the police came and he was rushed to hospital.

  Its just one year since the deceased Sudhirkumar married. He was survived by 8-day-old son. He is the only earning member in the family. Locals have demanded that government and factory owners ensure that basic facilities be ensured in the premises and the family of the deceased looked after.
