Goa is a safe state in many aspects. However, robberies and other lesser crimes like negligent driving, and general indiscipline is on the rise. One of the reasons is the supervision at the ground level by the higher ups – mostly IPS level– which leaves a lot to be desired. Political will is necessary if the police administration is made to work for the good of the common man.
