Goa Professional League from Jan 2021

The Goa Football Association will host the Goa Professional League in the second week of January, 2021, its secretary Jovito Lopes on Saturday.



 Also Goa Yachting Association’s Keona Rajani clinched the silver at the Senior National Sailing Championships in the RS:X Women class.

Her colleague Pearl Colvalcar put up a valiant fight to finish 5th in Laser Radial Women category.


The GFA Goa Professional League usually begins in August. But due to the COVID pandemic, the league was pushed to a further date in December.

It will finally see the light of day after the State football Association confirmed that it would be hosting the league in January 2021.

The league is most likely to be played single-legged and would be completed by the end of the footballing season.

Goa Yachting Association’s Keona Rajani clinched silver at the Senior National Sailing Championships in the RS:X Women class and Pearl Colvalcar came 5th in the Laser Radial Women.

Pearl was the youngest sailor at the event. Despite all her other competitors being established senior sailors sailing in the circuit for many years Pearl managed three 4th place and one 3rd place finishes out of 12 races.

Keona on the other hand managed to consistently finish in second place in the first 10 races and took the gun in the last 2 races to finish overall in 2nd place.
