Patrakar Din celebrated

Goa Union of Journalists organised a function to celebrate Patrakar Din at GUJ office in Panaji on Thursday.

The day is also observed to remember freedom fighter late Bal Gangadhar Tilak.

The Chief Minister assured journalists to solve their problem by convening a joint meeting with the Labour and Information departments.

He also asked journalists to identify a place in Panaji to set up a Press Club for them.

The senior journalists of Panaji marked the day at Institute Menezes Braganza hall. They felicitated some senior journalists won the occasion.

As part of the celebrations, the Chief Minister garlanded the portrait of Bal Gangadhar Tilak at the Secretariat and paid floral tributes to him.

The day was also celebrated by South Goa Journalists' Association at Municipality Press Room in Margao.
