Menino Jesus Fama celebrated at Colva

The famous Fama of Menino Jesus was celebrated with pomp and grandeur at Colva’s 400 year Our Lady of Merces church on Monday
Hordes of people thronged for the mass and later to kiss the miraculous statue of the Infant Jesus.
The Fama, celebrated every year on the second Monday of October, began with a high mass early morning.
The image of Infant Jesus covered in regal robes and jewellery was kept for kissing for the devotees. Masses were also held at regular intervals throughout the day.
