The 130^th birth anniversary of chief architect of Indian constitution Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar was celebrated across Goa. Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar committee along with Directorate of Social Welfare held a special program at Ambedkar garden in Panaji.

Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, deputy chief minister Manohar Babu Azgaonkar, and Art and Culture minister Govind Gaude were present on the occasion.

The Ponda block Congress committee also marked the birth anniversary of Ambedkar.

Ponda MLA Ravi Naik, Ponda block Congress commitee president Arun Gudekar and others were present. Ravi explained why Ambedkar converted and for whom he struggled.

Ambedkar jayanti was also celebrated at Vasco. Mauvin Godinho, Panchayat Minister highlighted water management during Ambedkar's time by giving the context of the Sagarmala project.
