With monsoons just about a month away the pre-monsoon work in Ponda is yet to get into full swing. Surprisingly, a recently hot mixed road in the city has been dug up to lay new sewerage lines. Furious, locals are left questioning why the government cannot finish work in one go.

The Sewerage Department dug up a recently hot mixed road near the Ponda Police Station. With Ponda's 15 MLD sewage treatment plant having been inaugurated last month, people expected that no more roads would be dug. However, the department has dug two roads near Mount Carmel Chapel in Ponda. Locals now insist that the work be completed by the 7th, in time for the local feast.
