Mopa link road: Stop work order lifted

The stop work order against the Mopa link road was withdrawn by the Directorate of Panchayats in its final order today. The hearing allowed the contractor to continue with the work saying panchayats had no right in the matter.

The petition was filed by the Panchayats where he work of the Mopa Link road was taking place. It On 25^th March Directorate of Panchayat completed heard arguments from both the parties and kept the matter for final orders on Monday.

It may be recalled that this matter was before the directorate of panchayats after the work of construction of link road to the airport is facing stiff opposition from villages of Tulaswadi, Dhargal, Warkhand and Nagzar through which the road is passing.
