Repair the Safa Masjid wall, requests panchayat

Ponda’s Safa masjid is a well known tourist spot. However, due to rainfall in the area early this week, the tourist hot spot has suffered damages with one of its walls collapsing. The archaeological department that looks after these heritage monuments has started the repair work. The local Panchayat wants the work to be completed within 6 months.



One of the walls of the Masjid collapsed due to rainfall early this week, and repair work has begun. The heritage site is also in need of some other maintenance work given that it is of both touristic and historical importance. Bandora Sarpanch Rajesh Naik spoke to Goa 365 on the issue.
