HERITAGE SITES: DEMARCATE BUFFER ZONES

Many Goan heritage sites have gone into the hands of outsiders, the opposition alleged in the house today. To stop this, the government should start demarcating boundaries of heritage sites, opposition demanded.

Alike Old Goa heritage site, another construction has mushroomed in lands belonging to heritage like the Portuguese gun powder storage, AAP MLA Cruz Silva alleged.

TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane assured that he would look into the   matter. Goa Forward MLA Vijai Sardesai also demanded a 100 mtrs buffer zone around all heritage sites by demarcating boundaries to stop illegalities coming up. Rane said Chief Town Planner has already been told to execute this.
