CHICALIM GRAM SABHA: villagers demand curb on sale of agriculture land || ENGLISH || GOA365

The Chicalim gram sabha held on Sunday, resolved to take action against roadside parking along the highway, which has been a major causeof traffic congestion and accidents in the village.

 The sabha also discussed the agriculture policy, suggesting that people not be allowed to sell agricultural land for construction purposes.

The panchayat also resolved to go online, making tax payments and other services available to the public right from the comfort of their homes, thereby nullifying the need for people to physically visit the panchayat.
