BAINA MURDER: 2 GET 7 DAYS POLICE CUSTODY

A group of 4 assailants armed with a koita, a sword and a chopper hacked a 33-year-old man to death in Baina yesterday. They had attacked the man allegedly because of an argument that had taken place some days prior.

 The group had fled from the scene however police were able to catch two of the 4 in Ponda. They were brought before the JMFC in Vasco today and have been remanded to 7 days police custody. Further details on the developing story are awaited.

The four assailants armed with koita, sword and choppers allegedly stabbed and fled on two-wheelers. The deceased was running a bar at Baina, and is survived by his wife who is pregnant, police said.  Locals immediately rushed Harijan to the Sub-District Hospital at Chicalim where doctors declared him brought dead.
