After horrific 2nd wave, Goa holds covid mock drills

As cases in China, East Asia and some European countries see a steep rise in Covid 19 cases, India has put its health care systems on high alert with mock drill being carried out throughout the country. Goa’s health infra too was put through the paces with checks on inventory, staff and preparedness being tested.

Following the horrific 2^nd Covid 19 wave in the country and in the state, the government has chosen to be pro-active this time around with the entire healthcare system being put to the test.

Top health officials in the state carried out inspections of various departments in hospitals which would be put under pressure should the country witness another surge in cases. Testing booths, inventory of medicines, staffing and other key elements in the health system were looked upon.
