Miransha bags Special Jury Award at Minsk Film Fest, 'Juje' only Konkani film in IFFI Indian Panorama

Konkani film Juje is making waves at International film festivals held abroad as well as in India. Goan young filmmaker Miransha Naik has won a Special Jury Award in ‘Youth on the march’ category for his critically acclaimed film Juze at Minsk Film Festival Belarus.



 Juje is Goa’s only entry in Konkani into to the prestigious Indian Panorama section of the 48th International Film Festival of India which will begin next week.

 Juje is young Miransha Naik’s directorial debut and was premiered at the Hong Kong Film Festival, After Hong Kong & Karlovy Vary in Prague it was screened in the MAMI film festival in Mumbai last month.

Juje also participated in Minsk Film Festival in Belarus which was held in the first week of this month. Currently Juze is participating in another International Film Festival in Ireland & now it will be screened before the home audience in this year’s IFFI.

Miransha says the awards and accolades have encouraged him. His next project is also selected for NFDC film bazaar this year. He also revealed his plans about releasing Juje in Goa.

  Miransha says Goa has great potential as a film making destination. According to him, if one has will and intent to achieve success he will ultimately accomplish his goals.
